When you are answering the Privacy Policy questionnaire, you will be asked if you collect and use cookies. A cookie is a small piece of data sent from your website and stored on the user's device (such as their computer or phone) by their browser. Cookies are used for a wide variety of reasons and your website probably collects cookies if one or more of the following features are implemented:
- Analytics services such as Google Analytics that tell you valuable data such as how many people have visited your website and what pages they clicked on;
- Recognizing when a user signed in to their account on your website;
- Storing information about a user's preferences; or
- Recognizing when a user returns to your website.
Cookies may also be implemented for security or anti-spam purposes. If you are unsure whether your website collects cookies, you can select the "I don't know" option. If you do so, your Privacy Policy will state that you do collect cookies as most websites do so.
Please note that if you need compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you may need to have a cookie consent banner and a separate Cookie Policy. If you do need a cookie consent banner and a Cookie Policy, a modal will appear asking if you would like to activate the cookie consent solution provided by Usercentrics. This cookie consent solution is included in the cost of your Termageddon subscription up to 20,000 user sessions per month. If you exceed this amount of sessions, you will be asked to upgrade to a paid Usercentrics plan. If you would like to activate the cookie consent solution, please agree to all of the policies and click "activate". Once the solution is activated, you will be able to set it up right after you finish the Privacy Policy questionnaire.
