"Personal information" is generally defined as any information that could be used to identify a particular person. Examples of personal information include:

If your website or application is collecting the personal information of Canadians through, for example, a contact form or a newsletter sign up form, you should select "yes" to this question. Please note that if you do select "yes" to this question, you will be asked additional questions to meet the disclosure requirements under PIPEDA.
