When you are answering the Privacy Policy questionnaire, you will need to select the personal information that you collect. One of these options is "medical information." In this case, "medical information" means protected health information that relates to the past, present, or future physical or mental health or condition of an individual, the provision of healthcare to an individual, or the payment for the provision of healthcare. Examples of medical information include:
- Medical diagnosis (e.g. asthma or cancer);
- Prescription history;
- Test results (e.g. blood test results or MRI results).
Medical information is typically protected by HIPAA and other medical privacy laws. At this time, Termageddon does not cover medical privacy laws. If you are collecting medical information, we recommend that you speak to an attorney in your area that has experience with creating policies for websites that collect medical information.
