When you are answering the questions in the Terms of Service questionnaire, you will be asked if users can purchase services, or digital products on your website or application. You should select "yes" to this question if a consumer can purchase a good, a service, or a digital product directly on your website or application or through a payment portal on your website or application. If you do select "yes", please note that you will be asked additional questions about such sales such as your refunds and cancellation policies.

You should select "no" to this question if any of the following apply:

  1. Consumers cannot purchase anything on your website;
  2. You simply display goods, services, or digital products but the consumer is taken onto a website managed by a third party (e.g. Amazon) to make the actual purchase and the Terms of Service of that third party website governs that purchase (please note that this is different from a simple payment portal managed by a third party payment processor where the consumer makes the payment. If the purchase is conducted on a payment portal on your website or application and your purchasing terms apply to the transaction, you should select "yes" to this question);
  3. You have a separate contract that you have customers sign when making a purchase that discusses the terms that apply to the purchase (e.g. you send a contract to your client that discusses your refunds and cancellation policies).
