*Note: This article covers embedding Termageddon policies into Wix Studio websites. If you're using the standard Wix editor, please refer to this separate guide. The steps may differ between the platforms.
After completing each policy questionnaire, you will receive an embed code for each policy, which you'll need to add to its respective webpage. To access the embed code, simply click on "view embed code" beneath the policy. If you've navigated away from this page, you can always return to your Termageddon dashboard to retrieve the code again.
The Termageddon embed code can be found within the 'view embed code' link for each policy within your app.termageddon.com license.
In Wix Studio, you can use the HTML element to insert Termageddon's policy embed codes into each policy page of your website
Within your Wix Studio editor:
Go to your respective policy page. You may need to add a new page if you haven't created the web page yet. Click on the pages tab in the left-side menu. Click the “+” and choose Page to add. Give your webpage a name such as “Privacy Policy”.
Click “+” (Add Element) at the top of the left-side menu. Choose iFrame and drag it to the page. Adjust the sizing to match your styling.
Embed your code:
Click Enter Code.
Paste your Termageddon embed code in the text box.
Click Update.
When ready, save/publish the page.
Add hyperlinks in your footer
It’s common to include links to all of your policy pages in the footer of your Wix website for easy access. Here’s how to add a hyperlink to your footer:
1. When editing any page scroll to the bottom so that you can visibly see your footer area.
2. Click Add Element on the upper left hand side.
3. Choose Paragraph
3. Then click and hold a text example and drag it down to the footer. Upon dropping the Text feature into the footer, you should be able to edit the Text area. (here's a video showing how to do this)
4. You can add the text "Privacy Policy"(for example). Then select the text and click the 'hyperlink' icon and add in the link to your respective policy webpage that you have created.
5. Save accordingly.
These steps will save the policy link to all pages using the common footer. Now, users should be able to access your policies from your footer.
Avoid Embedding Policies in Global Settings: While some users may attempt to insert Termageddon's policy embed code into Wix's global Body-start or Body-end settings (as described in this other Wix article), this often leads to design issues and an inconsistent user experience. It's best to avoid this method. If you've already added the code in global settings, be sure to remove it before using the proper embed method detailed above.
Did you paste Termageddon's policy embed code somewhere else within your website?
Some customers go to the Wix global Settings area and insert Termageddon's policy embed code into the "Body-start" or "Body-end" locations (as described in this other Wix article). This can cause an aesthetically distracting user experience and does not work for most website designs within Wix. If you inserted your embed code via the global settings, be sure to remove that first, and follow the steps above.
