  • Federally: please select this option if you filed the paperwork to start your company with the federal Government of Canada. 

  • Province: please select this option if you filed the paperwork to start your company with a province in Canada. If you select this option, you will be able to choose one of the following provinces for where you formed your company: 

    • Alberta

    • British Columbia

    • Manitoba

    • New Brunswick

    • Nerfoundland and Labrador

    • Nova Scotia

    • Ontario

  • Territory: please select this option if you filed the paperwork to start your company with a territory in Canada. If you select this option, you will be able to choose one of the following territories for where you formed your company:

If you formed your company originally in one province or territory and then filed paperwork to do business in another province or territory as a “foreign” company, please select the province or territory where you originally formed your company. In addition, if you initially formed your company in one province or territory and then formed the company again in another province or territory, please select the province or territory where the filing is active (e.g. if I form a company in Alberta and then form it again in Nunavut, the Alberta filing will usually be considered as expired or withdrawn).
