How much is the cancellation fee?

Modified on Mon, 4 Mar, 2024 at 10:53 AM

To answer this question, please select the amount of the cancellation fee. A cancellation takes place when the buyer changes their mind about their purchase and asks not to receive the item prior to shipment (if they purchase goods), download (if they purchase digital products), or performance (if they purchased a service). A cancellation fee is also sometimes called a restocking fee or a handling fee. To answer this question, you may choose one of the following options:

  • Fixed amount - please select this option if you will charge customers a fixed amount or a flat fee as the cancellation fee if they cancel their purchase (e.g. $50.00). If you choose this option, you will need to input the amount into the field provided;

  • Percentage of the total price - please select this option if you will charge customers a percentage of the total price of their purchase as the cancellation fee if they cancel their purchase (e.g. 10% of the purchase price). If you choose this option, you will need to input the percentage that you will charge into the field provided;

  • Other - please select this option if you charge customers a type of a cancellation fee that is not listed above (e.g. you will charge them the credit card processing fees). If you choose this option, you will need to input the type of cancellation fee into the field provided.
