On this page, you will finish answering any remaining questions for the policies that you are generating. On the left, you'll see the policies that are being created and on the right, you'll see the list of questions that need to be answered to help finish the generation of these policies.
Privacy Policy: For a Privacy Policy, you'll be asked if your website collects cookies or not. If the answer is Yes, then here is where our tool will let you know that based on all the previous questions that were answered and which laws that apply to your website, if you require a cookie tool and cookie policy on your website. If this is the case, you will be able to activate a complementary cookie tool. If activated, you should notice that on the left side "Cookie Policy and Consent Tool" are now added to the list of policies that are being created.
From here you should finish answering the questions for your Privacy Policy. Continue down the list and answer the questions that are provided. Remember that each question has a corresponding TermaGuider description and video to help if you have any questions about how to answer a question.
After completing all questions for your Privacy Policy, you can continue on to your Terms of Service.
Terms of Service: The questions for the Terms of Service begins with asking if goods services or digital products are available for purchase directly on your website. If you select Yes to this question, our tool will load in all questions related to eCommerce, and let you define your pricing, cancellation, refund and shipping rules.
Additionally, there will be a section if you need to define the rules of your paid subscription service as well.
If the answer to this question is No, then please continue on and answer the remaining questions related to your Terms of Service. You will be asked if if users can create their own account on your website, if a user can leave a comment or message on your website that anyone can see, and which year you initially published your website.
The remaining questions within the Terms of Service questionnaire, will need to be answered to help create disclosures that will help limit your liability as a website owner. This will include disclosures such as DMCA, third party links, codes of conduct and potentially more. Upon answering all questions your terms of service will be ready to go.
Once complete you can click "Next" to proceed forward.
EULA: An EULA stands for (end user license agreement) and is meant to define the rules for users that are purchasing and/or downloading software from your website or application.
Our generator will start by asking what the name of the software is and if the software is meant for personal or business use (or both). It will then ask if the user who has downloaded the software is allowed to reproduce it themselves, how many copies of the software can they install and if there is a provided warranty on the software. You can define what warranty you offer (if applicable) and if the software does not comply with the stated warranty, if a refund will be provided.
You will then be asked if you are going to provide updates and maintenance to the software, and if those updates and maintenance will cost the user extra money.
You will be asked if your software has a free trial period and if so be able to define how long the trial period is.
Lastly, you will be asked if a user of the software transfer this agreement to someone else.
Disclaimer: If previously you had let our tool know that you participated in affiliate programs, there will be a section to fill out which affiliate programs that you are participating in. Please fill in the field(s) for the affiliate programs you participate in, you can use the "+" button to add additional fields if you need more than one.
Cookie Consent Tool & Policy: If our tool has determined that your website does need a Cookie Policy and Consent Tool, you will customize the appearance and add the services that you are using on your website in this last section.
When customizing the Cookie Consent Tool, you'll be able to choose a color for the "Accept" and "Deny" buttons that appear on the banner itself. You can enter a hex code or select the colored square to the right and choose a color you would like or enter an RBG value.
Next you'll choose what method you would like your settings to trigger. You can choose between the classic fingerprint icon, which is what we use, or a hyperlink that can be placed in the footer of your website.
You'll choose how the banner itself is displayed on your website when a visitor first arrives. At this time we have three options, a more traditional across the bottom of the screen, a "wall style" center of the screen popup, and a smaller bottom left corner of the web page option.
The next group of questions are Cookie Tool settings that have been preset by the privacy laws that apply to you, you can customize these sections, but they are currently selected based on the needs of your banner requirements.
You will have to input your domain (if not already prefilled) and the URL to which your privacy policy will live. Very commonly this is something like yourdomainname.com/privacy-policy.
The final part of the Cookie Tool questionnaire, is running a scan of your website's sitemap, so that the cookie tool can correctly control the cookie scripts that fire on your website, and in the event that a user Accepts or Declines the cookies on your website, the tool will know what cookies to enable or disable from firing on that users device.
Please input your sitemap URL into the "Scan URL" field. Usually you can pull this up by entering "yourdomainname.com/sitemap.xml" into your browser window. Depending on your website platform, it may auto correct your sitemap url. Once you confirm what your sitemap URL is, you can enter it in the field and select that "Yes" this URL is a sitemap URL. You can then click "Run Scan" and the scan will begin.
Once complete, please review the services that the scan resulted in, and if for some reason the scan missed a service you know is on your website, you can use the "Add Service" button to add in any additional service.
Once complete, you can click "Next" and head to the next page Part 11: Sharing and Embedding Policies.
