How to add SMS disclosures to you policies (for A2P 10DLC approval)

Modified on Tue, 10 Mar at 9:12 AM

The purpose of this article is to help you generate the required policy disclosures for A2P 10DLC (SMS disclosures).

Pre-requisites:

1. You already have a Termageddon license set up, with both the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service activated (shared in video below)

Note:

Several vendors will ask that you to state in your policies that you do not share any data with any third parties. Although you are welcome to add this via the override feature (explained at end of video), by default our tool will disclose that you indeed share phone numbers with third party SMS vendors in order to send SMS messages. Most of our customers will receive approval with our generated copy without needing to use the override feature.

Video Guide:

Step-by-step instructions

1. Log in (policies.termageddon.com)

2. Click into your license

3. Click 'edit' for Select Functionalities

4. Select/enable "SMS Messaging" and select/add your vendor

5. Click Next, review "Types of Data Collected" page, click Next and review "Data Type Questions" page.  Now click Next to be brought to Remaining Questions -> Privacy Policy.

6. In the Privacy Policy questionnaire, answer all the new SMS related disclosures. Once complete, click 'save and exit'.

You can now visit your policy pages on your website to confirm SMS disclosures have been added.

If you wish to customize the policy copy, you can do this within your license dashboard, where you click 'edit' for Review and Override Policy text.  This is shared at the end of the video guide.
