After generating your policies, you will be provided with an embed code for each policy. This embed code is inserted into the body of each of your policy pages. The embed code is what allows Termageddon to control what your policy webpages say, and gives Termageddon the ability to push updates to your policies when privacy laws change or new ones are added. Remember that each policy requires its own specific page.

How to implement the embed code:

  1. You can share access to your embed codes with your Web Designer, so they can help you implement the codes on your website. Near the top of the page you can share access to your policies via a link, or email address.
  2. If you are embedding the code yourself, click the "Copy Code" Button to copy the embed code.
  3. Log into the backend of your website (for example, Wordpress websites offer a login at domain-name.com/wp-login.php)
  4. Add a page and title it "Privacy Policy" or "Terms of Service", etc (do this for every policy that you have created)
  5. You will need to insert the code into the body of your webpage.  Most website builder tools offer this via using a "HTML editor" feature. If you need help here, you can contact us but you may find the quickest answer by simply google searching something like "Embed javascript into single (wix/squarespace/wordpress/etc) webpage".
  6. Be sure to 'publish' your page and visit your newly created webpage in incognito mode to verify the policy loads!

How to add a hyperlink in your footer to your policy pages

Adding a hyperlink to your website policies within your website's global footer is a common practice to ensure all of your website visitors can easily locate your website policies.

Each website builder tool offers a different way to add hyperlinks into the footer (aka the bottom) of your website.

The best way to do this would be to perform a google search. Let's say you have a Wordpress website. You would want to search "add hyperlink to footer Wordpress" and you will quickly find articles and videos showing how to do this.

Here's a link to the basics on how to add a hyperlink.
